“ART IS” — Many Expressions. One Cultural Experience.
Presented by Black Heritage Art Show™
Art is the song that moves you. The poem that speaks your truth. The story you cannot put down. The flavors that connect you to home. The handcrafted piece that carries a tradition forward.
Join us for “ART IS,” a celebration of African American creativity bringing visual, performing, literary, culinary and handcrafted arts together under one roof.
Discover artists and filmmakers. Connect with authors and storytellers. Experience music and spoken word. Celebrate chefs whose creativity preserves traditions and introduces new flavors. Meet the people behind the work and hear the stories that inspire them.
From the canvas to the stage, the page to the plate, “ART IS” invites you to explore the many ways our community creates, expresses and preserves culture.
Founded in Baltimore in 1995, Black Heritage Art Show™ begins a new chapter with the same community spirit that helped build its legacy. Come connect with established and emerging creatives, discover something unexpected and support the voices carrying our culture forward.
