10:15 AM Keynote Speaker - Ron Magill
Ron has worked with wildlife for over 40 years. He was the host of HITN’s national wildlife documentary program, “Mundo Salvaje con Ron Magill.” As Zoo Miami’s “Goodwill Ambassador”, he has made frequent television appearances on many programs including, “National Geographic Explorer”, the Discovery Networks, the “Today Show”, “Good Morning America”, “The Late Show ”, “CBS’ This Morning”, “Dateline” and “CNN” as well as on Spanish networks Univision and Telemundo. In addition, he is a Nikon USA Ambassador and has written and produced many wildlife articles and award-winning photographs that have appeared in publications and galleries around the world.

Kate Lynn Lewis is a West Palm Beach-based artist focused on large-scale mural installations, illustrative design work, and brand collaborations. Her style is best recognized by clean and hard lines, bold colors, and emphasis on “impossible architecture” inspired by artists like MC Escher & Oscar Reutersvard. Lewis’ paintings can be found throughout the U.S., in and outside of municipal structures, arenas, offices, restaurants, and residences, while her branded client portfolio includes United Airlines, Starbucks, Google, Disney, Lululemon, YETI, Bulleit Bourbon, Jameson, Jack Daniels, The Chicago Bulls, Bears, Cubs, Blackhawks, and more.

Paige Kleindl is a biology Ph.D. candidate and member of Dr. Evelyn Gaiser’s lab in the Institute of Environment at Florida International University (FIU) in Miami, FL. Paige was awarded the 2023 Green Family Foundation’s ForEverglades Fellowship to support her research in the Everglades. She is investigating the importance of influences on plant and microbial community structures and biomass changes along the Everglades’ freshwater and phosphorus resource gradients, which characterize the ridge, slough, and prairie habitats. Paige expresses her passion and intrigue for her research and study organisms, particularly diatoms, through brightly colored paintings with a contemporary twist. She recently debuted her work in the exhibit she curated, “More Than A Scientist,” which showcased Everglades-inspired art created by FIU biology graduate students.
