Art in the Park with Queer Mountaineers

Creativity is in the air! Kick start the spring season on this art themed hike! Join your fellow artsy folks at the Dune Peninsula at Point Defiance. We will be walking the paved accessible trail along Ruston Way and within the park with a total distance of up to 1 mile. We will take inspiration from the Sound and seaside beauty and gather at the picnic tables or steps to work on some art. There, we will take around 30-45 minutes to draw, write, or craft. Feel free to bring your own project, or we'll provide some basic drawing supplies. Then we will pack up (leave no trace) and head back.

Gear Needed: portable personal craft project (optional), sturdy shoes, day pack with 10 essentials, food, water, extra layers, sunscreen. Prepare for cold, rainy, and/or windy weather and check forecast before you hike.
