Art in the Park with Queer Mountaineers

Get the creativity jump started on this art themed hike! Join your fellow artists at the Rhododendron garden trailhead in Point Defiance. We will be following the spine trail that will lead us through a 2.6 mile path straight through the center of the large park. Take pictures of the beautiful trees and wildlife we will get to see for inspiration as you make your way to the picnic tables at the end of the trail. There, we will take around 20 minutes to draw, write, or craft. Feel free to bring your own project, or we'll provide some basic drawing supplies. Then we will pack up (leave no trace) and head back.

Gear Needed: Sturdy shoes that can get dirty, portable personal craft project (optional), day pack with 10 essentials, food, water, extra layers, sunscreen. Prepare for cold, rainy, and/or windy weather and check forecast before you hike.
