CYANOTYPES
Explore the magic of early photography in a hands-on workshop led by local artist Jasmine Huff. Participants will learn about the history of photography while creating their own cyanotype — also known as a "sun print" — using UV light to produce striking blue-and-white images. By arranging natural and found objects on photosensitive paper and exposing them to sunlight, we'll combine art, science, and nature in a fun, creative process.
This Art in the Park session will be led by JASMINE HUFF, who has deep ties to the local creative community. She grew up exhibiting art with her parents, James and Earnestine Huff, in their art business Huff Art Studio. She holds an MFA in Documentary Media from Northwestern University and believes in the power of art and storytelling to transform our communities. Huff recently managed programs and events for the National Guild for Community Arts Education and currently, she is the Craft Fair and Membership Director at Piedmont Craftsmen.
