Louisville Parks and Recreation's Art in the Park is returning for its fifth year at Central Park on July 17 in celebration of Park and Recreation Month – an initiative of the National Recreation and Park Association (NRPA) to promote strong, vibrant and resilient communities through the power of parks and recreation.
Around 6, free arts and crafts stations, face painting, community vendors and food trucks will be setup for the public to enjoy around the Pergola at Central Park. A free performance of Romeo and Juliet presented by Kentucky Shakespeare, will begin at 8 p.m. on the C. Douglas Ramey Amphitheater stage to close out the night.
