Art Gallery and Zvilnik! At The Golden Lion! Welcome one and all to The Bizarre Cabaret! So what do we have for you?

ART GALLERY - The established local boys of tonight double headed power snake of bands, Art Gallery is an experimental goth rock three-piece taking influence from first wave goth bands (Bauhaus, Joy Division, The Cure etc.) and contemporary influences, whose aims are, in their own words, “To give Goth rock a good kick up the arse.”
Notable for their dark, yet erratic and humorous stage presence; the band’s songs bounce between somber, sludge metal-tinged dirges, demented dark wave grooves and good ole’ fashioned punk.

ZVILNIK - Sneaking in from out of town, Preston based Zvilnik are makers of sci-fi-surf-cabaret-alt-rock, superconductors of eccentricity, abusers of electricity, wheeler-dealers of the wonderful and weird.
They grew up reading classic sci-fi - Asimov's Foundation series, Phillip K Dick and their older siblings' issues of 2000AD. They reached their formative years listening to the hits of the west end. Then they discovered guitars and drums and distortion pedals and when the pair of them met many years later they mashed all that stuff together into Zvilnik. They're more concerned with unnecessary back street surgery and interdimensional monster invasions, and are inspired by the successful failure of Nikola Tesla and the sentient bomb in John Carpenter's Dark Star.
If it helps, they've been described as "Electric Six meets They Might Be Giants"
