Art Forum with Ash Kerr
Schedule
Fri Mar 06 2026 at 02:00 am to 03:00 am
UTC+11:00Location
37 Hunter St, Hobart TAS 7000, Australia | Hobart, TS
Ash's collaborative approach to curatorial practice is informed by formative experiences in site activation and cross-disciplinary projects in Melbourne's thriving ARI scene from 2008-2015, and later in Germany working with curator-led project spaces, residencies and arts NGO's across the EU in Northern and Central Europe from 2015-2023 in a wide range of academic and curatorial contexts.
Ash remains the custodian of LOW Gallery + Projects (Rīga) and is currently a member of Contemporary Art Tasmania’s Program Committee. Ash will talk frankly about his career trajectory as an arts worker to date, between academia and the art world, and between both success and failure.
This event will be live at the Dechaineux Lecture Theatre on the Hunter Street Campus and streamed live to the Rory Spence Lecture Theatre on the Inveresk Campus.
