About this Event
Feel empowered to:
- Express feelings that can't be put into words
- Use artful skills to cope after hardship
- Find creative pathways toward hope
- All art levels welcome!
Hi, I’m Samantha, a Therapeutic Art Facilitator. I’m here to guide you and cheer you on in your healing journey! Art is a fantastic tool to process emotions and discover new things about yourself.
All materials are provided. We will be working with oil pastels on mixed media paper. Willingness to try new ways of processing will open up new neural pathways and stimulate new perspectives!
In this Art for Healing experience, you will learn practical tools to manage stress after experiencing a difficult life experience. You will grow in confidence by strengthening your emotional resilience.
This experience is gently guided with art-making prompts and questions for thought. Surrounded by the beautiful Bozeman landscape, we will create our own landscape sketches that identify our current emotions.
There will be guidance on how to alter emotions, introduce change, shift perspective and vision-cast for the future.
Does this resonate with you? I’m here to support you on your journey toward resilience and hope!
One participant shared: "I came in feeling stuck & distressed and I walked out hopeful and inspired by my newly shifted perspective."
Creating within a group environment has the added healing benefit of mutually holding compassionate space with fellow participants. Additionally, seeing others' artwork and hearing their explanations may multiply your ideas for personal applications of the material.
It is my complete joy to facilitate these classes, providing a space to contemplate, process and encourage one another! I look forward to meeting you. -Samantha
