Book Binding with Matthew Johnson
In Information Super Detour, Matthew Johnson will guide workshop participants through an introduction to crafting simple, creative book structures. Through hands-on doing, participants will learn the basics of softbound notebooks and sculptural book forms that can be used for everyday art making or journaling.
About Fay Ray
Matthew Robert Johnson is an interdisciplinary artist and educator based in Los Angeles. His work reflects a wide range of concerns from obsessive mark making to globalized US Military interference. He holds a BFA in Printmaking from California State University Long Beach and an MFA in Fine Art from University of California Santa Barbara.

Compound’s Art For All is a series of hands-on workshops that teach various artistic mediums and encourages a new way of making art that’s fun and engaging for the whole family. You will be able to learn drawing, collage, painting, performance, sculpture, ceramics, music-making, and much more.
