Art Exhibition: The Art of Wellness

A community-responsive exhibition where five artists explore what wellness means to the people of the Enderly Park neighborhood.

Featuring local artists Chantel Kennedy, CHD:WCK!, Hobo Husband, Milagros Ugueto & Keudis Sánchez — guided by their mentors, Bunny Gregory and Courtney Rohan.

Their original artworks will line the walls of The Arts Factory (1545 W Trade St) on Wednesday, November 18 from 6-8pm.

Over the course of a 10-week creative residency in Enderly Park, the artists have spent time exploring the concept of wellness as an ongoing, collective practice nurtured through creativity, care, connection, and community.

Their exploration unfolded through several interconnected themes: the lessons and possibilities of neighborhood gardening; the relationship between transportation, mobility, and accessibility; and the experience of walking, driving, and moving through Enderly Park.

How does transportation shape our connection to the neighborhood? What do we discover when we slow down and experience our surroundings?

Bringing together portrait painting, graffiti, embroidery, and multidisciplinary artistic practices, the artists translated these conversations and experiences into a collaborative tapestry of creativity and community storytelling.
