About this Event

Join us for the Color Calavera art exhibition, a vibrant celebration of Mexican culture and the Day of the Dead, presented as part of the Latin American Heritage Month Festival by Latincouver. This stunning collection by artist Adrián Edgar features a series of paintings that breathe life into the traditional symbols of Day of the Dead—calacas (skeletons) and calaveras (skulls)—using an expressive and colorful palette. Edgar's work is deeply inspired by the Day of the Dead, a Mexican holiday that honors and celebrates the souls of deceased loved ones. Through his art, Edgar captures the essence of this celebration, highlighting the beauty and vibrancy of life even in its most somber moments. Each painting, though centered on the expressionless skull, is brought to life with vivid colors, reflecting the joyful remembrance that characterizes Day of the Dead.
