“Sunflower Magic" Modeling Clay Workshop: fun Saturday night in Occoquan!
Looking for something fun and relaxing to do on a Saturday night? We’ve got you! Join us on August 29, 2026, 6-8 pm, at Art a la Carte gallery for a cozy, hands-on creative experience to “paint” still life with modeling clay. Relax, create, and enjoy Moroccan tea and macarons.
Modeling clay art — what’s that about? Using your fingers and some basic tools, you’ll shape the clay compound to mimic a real-life vase with sunflowers, arrange them in a beautiful composition on paper, frame it, and voilà – a unique piece of art ready to go home with you!
This is more than just a class — it creates space for you to slow down, decompress, try something new, and channel your creativity. The calming process of working with modeling clay is grounding, tactile, and deeply satisfying. Whether you’re a beginner or simply looking for a mindful creative escape, this workshop is perfect for you.
