Kids aged 8 to 11 can join illustrator/designer duo Nora and Scott from Neighbourhood Press after school for eight weeks to explore the art of zine-making! A zine is like a magazine but with a twist. Zines are small DIY publications that can literally be about anything!This workshop will show you the basics of storyboarding and assembling your own zine using a combination of drawings, collage and writings. Attendees will work to create their own 16 page zine over the 8 sessions, which will be printed by Neighbourhood Press' very own Risograph printer. Students will leave with their own edition of ten Riso-printed zines, and the know-how to make hundreds more (and maybe a new obsession for zine-making!)
Dates: Every Thursday from 2 February to 30 March (no session on 2 March)
Time: 3.45pm to 5.00pm each week
