Welcome to Art Club by Drake May!!!!
We are so excited for another class!!!
Drake, my 13 year old son, started Art Club in 2021, & wants anyone who loves Art, to come together and have fun creating!
**FOIL SCULPTURES**!!!
This week Drake will be Showing the class all about creating Foil Sculptures. They will make some human figures, faces, animals, flowers, or anything they want.***
1st Wednesday: The Joplin Public Library
3rd Wednesday: Field Trips
(We try & bring different Art forms each class) PLUS Bonus Hangouts.
What to Bring: You will need Foil. And a Hot Glue Gun would help stand their Sculptures up. A small Piece of Cardboard. We will also provide some supplies for those who need it. Just message me.
Open to All ages! Normally we get 4- 15year olds.
Fee: NO fees due for most classes unless specified. No library card needed. Future field trips may require a small fee.
Please RSVP: So we have an accurate amount of kids who want to attend so we can make sure we have enough seats for everyone.
What to Expect:
1st Wednesday's-The first 45mins, there will be art class, then the last half of class, we will play games, socialize, and finish up art work projects. Last 10mins is clean up. Everyone will get to learn new techniques, ask questions, & show off their Art Pieces to encourage confidence.
3rd Wednesday's-Field Trip day! We will travel to different Art museums and Businesses that showcase everything Art!
Parents do NOT have to stay in the Class room if your child is over 5years old. You just need to stay on the Public Library Grounds.
Parents are welcome to sit with their child or at the back of the room at the extra tables as well.
