Art/Clay Through the Lens of the Cherokee Nation (Grades 5-8)
About this Event

The name "Cherokee" comes from a Muskogean word that means "speakers of another language"and their traditions of art are rich in meaning. For students in grades 5 through 8, join teacher Faolan Grady to learn techniques and iconographies of the Cherokee Nation through drawing and clay work. Campers will explore the Cherokee culture through stories and will incorporate them into their artwork.

Supplies will be provided

  • Please send a healthy snack and lunch with your camper.
  • Please pick up your child on time when camp ends or at the end of the selected aftercare option chosen.
  • Health and Safety protocols consistent with local and state health requirements will be in effect during each camp session.
