Create beautiful jewelry from real leaves, such as pendants, earrings, or charms with me at The Crucible. Your projects will involve using copper and silver clay, known as metal clay, with the leaves. This class is being broken up into two nights. The first night October. 1st you will create your jewelry in copper. On the second night, Oct. 8th, you will create your pieces in pure silver.
Metal clay is made from real metal particles held together with an organic binder. You shape your jewelry like clay, but it is fired in a kiln, leaving you with pure metal. Learn how to properly use organic material with both types of clay, as well as various finishing, filling, patina, and burnishing techniques that help bring out shine or dimension in your organic jewelry.
