Inspired by the landscapes featured in "The Sense of Beauty: Six Centuries of Painting from Museo de Arte de Ponce," including "Morning in the Tropics" and "Moorish Scene at Sunset," this watercolor workshop invites participants to create glowing landscape scenes filled with dramatic skies, rich color, and bold silhouettes.
Participants will experiment with watercolor blending techniques to create soft sunsets, tropical skies, and dreamy atmospheric effects before adding simple silhouetted shapes—like trees, buildings, or figures—to the foreground. This class offers easy-to-follow techniques and ample room for creativity, and is perfect for beginners and anyone who loves colorful, expressive landscapes.
This class is designed for ages 18+. All supplies will be provided.
For questions regarding the class or registration, please email Programs Manager Neely Simms at [email protected].
Bonus! Registrants ages 21+ are welcome to stop by the OKCMOA Bar before class and bring a drink to enjoy a relaxed paint-and-sip experience.

"The Sense of Beauty" has been organized by the Museo de Arte de Ponce in collaboration with the Oklahoma City Museum of Art.
