About this Event
Come join us for a colorful week of fun watercolor painting & bookmaking. Children from the ages 6-14 are invited to come and learn how to make their own books while exploring the magical, fantastical meaning of Color.
The week will consist of learning watercolor techniques from the instructor Diana Lizette, such as how to move water with the brush, and how much color can transform an ordinary page into a pop of fresh extraordinary Colorful landscapes. Inspiration will come from music and stories read to them about colors in how they evoke different feelings. The children are invited to bring their own imagination, interpretation and excitement when it comes to creating & making something new.
There will also be bookmaking instructions such as binding, pasting and folding pages into what will become a book. The children will finish the week camp with a very own book of their creation to take and show their parents and guardians or whoever they would like to show!
Spanish speaking students are invited to join.
Tickets are on a "pay what you can" sliding scale.
