Art Book Club: A Field Guide to American Houses
Wednesday, July 8 | 5:30 – 7:00 p.m. | TMA Library
Join us for a two-part library program exploring America’s domestic architecture through A Field Guide to American Houses by Virginia Savage McAlester. Rather than reading the book cover to cover, this discussion will focus on using it as a reference to identify architectural styles and features.
Local historian Ted Ligibel will lead an engaging conversation on how architectural details and regional influences shape the homes around us.
Then, on Friday, July 10, Ted will continue the conversation with a lecture on Toledo’s Historic Old West End—one of the city’s most architecturally rich neighborhoods. Registration is required for the lecture.
