Art Bites - Art in Context: Dollmaking Workshop with Archived Artist Joyce Morrow Jones
Sept 19 – two sessions offered: 11a to 1p, or 2p to 4p - spaces limited! Some materials will be provided, some are required by attendees to supply. This sign up is for the 2 p - 4 p session only!
Join Archived Artist Joyce Morrow Jones to make a simple Comfort Doll. The making of Comfort Dolls is historically shared by all people, across all cultures. Three types of dolls will be available to make from different materials and each attendee will take home at least one finished doll. Open to all ages 10 years and above, children must be accompanied by an adult.
Materials list for attendees to supply:
Fabric scissors are required, cutting pads if you prefer using a wheel cutter
Suggested materials to bring:
Your personal glue gun & glue sticks, misc. notions, yarn, buttons, anything else you may have suitable for a doll.
Absolutely NO loose sequins, glitter or fabric with glitter can be used!
