Join Morton Contemporary for ART BASH, a special Open House with Design Philadelphia Festival, celebrating art, design and the creative process—with internationally acclaimed Australian contemporary fine artist Ashvin Harrison painting live at the award-winning Philadelphia gallery, Morton Contemporary.
Traveling from Australia to Philadelphia, Harrison will give guests the rare opportunity to step beyond the finished artwork and experience the making of it in real time.
A self-taught artist and global social-media phenomenon with more than 2 million followers and subscribers across social media platforms, Harrison has developed a distinctive visual language combining the precision of photorealism with the spontaneity of abstraction. Working with charcoal dust, acrylic and oil, he builds meticulously rendered black-and-white imagery before introducing bursts and layers of brilliant color—creating a striking tension between precision and spontaneity, control and chance, stillness and movement.
