About this Event
ART AS IT COULD BE is the second in a series of events created by 180, focused on “the world as it could be”. It’s about imagining and re-imagining the world if we just look at life from a different perspective.
During our session, we will hear about the importance of art for development and learning, how art and business can collaborate for mutual benefit, and how we define what art is today and tomorrow.
Join our speakers for an evening of inspiration:
Amanda Wachob is an interdisciplinary tattoo pioneer internationally known for her innovative work with the watercolor tattoo medium. Her canvases include fruit, leather, linen, and skin. She has collaborated with The Met, the New Museum, the Museum of Arts and Design, the Clyfford Still Museum, the Rubin Museum of Art, the Museum of Contemporary Art Denver, and The Whitney.
Isabelle Udo is a Digital Artist and the founder and Creative Director of videOrbit Studio in Amsterdam, where she creates elaborate AR experiences, gallery installations, and digital fashion for high-end global clients, including Burberry, Dior, Meta, Versace, Coachella, and Tommy Hilfiger. Isabelle is a specialist in real-time rendering artwork, creating beauty at the cutting edge of new media technologies.
Tom Trago is a leading figure in underground Dutch electronic music, defining Amsterdam's house and electronica scene. A globe-trotting DJ, producer, and label owner, Tom champions overlooked gems and fresh sounds. With residencies at Trouw and De School, he's played at prestigious festivals and clubs worldwide.
Farid Bawa is an Indian-born Amsterdam-based Design Director with a unique perspective on solving problems with creativity and purpose. Currently the Head of Design at DDB and 180 Amsterdam, Farid founded the organisation All India Permit, to promote and preserve the dying truck art form of India. He has partnered with companies such as Google, Apple, Vans and Levi Strauss to bring truck art to new audiences.
