In an age shaped by quantum leaps in technology, shifting urban landscapes, and increasingly complex global systems, how can the arts help young people make sense of the world around them?
This panel, in collaboration with Austrian Embassy Singapore, brings together artists, scientists, and youth advocates to explore how creative practices can illuminate emerging technologies such as quantum science, artificial intelligence, and engineering.
Through diverse lenses, our speakers will share how art can make the invisible visible, challenge dominant narratives, and empower youth to imagine alternative futures.
From traditional puppetry infused with scientific storytelling to kinetic installations that blur the boundaries between the organic and the machine, the conversation will highlight how interdisciplinary approaches can foster curiosity, critical thinking, and agency among young audiences. Together, we’ll ask: how can young people move from being passive recipients of science education to active participants in shaping the future?

As part of the International Year of Quantum Science and Technology, as declared by the United Nations General Assembly, this year’s edition of In the Ether invites visitors to explore the invisible rules that govern our world through a series of installations, performances, talks, and education programmes.
Situated across the museum, scientific concepts come alive through poetic and tangible experiences inspired by physics, quantum research and technology. Interact with experiments and activities that explain core principles and reveal the inner working of devices such as quantum computers and quantum communication satellites.

This festival is presented by ArtScience Museum in partnership with Ethereum Singapore and includes scientific contributions from the Centre for Quantum Technologies, Singapore.
