Art & Sake: Bentenya Live

Spend an evening in the Garden with Chindonya, a vibrant Japanese street performance tradition with roughly 150 years of history. The Japanese Friendship Garden welcomes Bentenya, a professional all-female Chindonya troupe from Aichi, Japan, known for colorful costumes and a playful blend of traditional Japanese music and popular song.
Stroll the Garden, enjoy a sake experience, and settle in for a lively evening of live performance under the autumn sky — a rare chance to see an art form still performed on the streets of Japan today.
