Join Music for a Great Space for another art & live music class with Creative Aging Network!Art teacher Diane Shur will lead a watercolor class inspired by the music of the Rodland Duo (organ and violin). Participants will explore painting inspired by the music they hear and the visuals of the stunning organ and light in the space.
"In this class we will discuss using the inspiration of music to express ourselves in watercolor. We will start with a short discussion of the artists Wassily Kandinski, an artist who could visualize color and forms while listening to music, and Romare Bearden, and artist and jazz composer.
We will use watercolor paints to express how the organ and violin music makes us feel and what we imagine as we listen to the live music. Expression can be in any form the student prefers."
No prior arts experience required, open to anyone interested, and participants of any age are welcome! The class is free, but sign-up is required so the supplies can be provided.
