In partnership with Northern Opera Group, Leeds Art Gallery are running a series of workshops inspired by Robert Rodriguez's opera Frida, one of the premiere performances during this years festival.

Discover how Frida Kahlo and artists within Leeds Art Gallery collections use their work to explore their identity with exhibitions curator Holly Grange and create your own artistic response to your identity through the medium of collage.

Adult Only event. Materials will be provided for you to work with but you may wish to bring additional materials to personalise your work and share with others- You could bring: copies of photographs, old magazines and newspapers, scraps of fabric, natural objects such as leaves, feathers, and pressed flowers. You will be cutting up and making work from the things you bring, so copies of photographs or photocopies would be best
