Course Description: Part of the Art and The Expanded Field pop up programming series. Exploring varied perspectives on creating impactful visual work in the age of A.l. and ever-shortening digital footprints; we will discuss ‘the artist vs. the influencer’ and the importance of human touch in traditional and modern abstract film & photo mediums.
Instructor Bio:
Simone Holland is a Brooklyn based visual artist, using reality-based surrealism as her lens. With Emmy winning camera work, Simone continues to push the boundaries of perspective. Creating content for TikTok Global at Mojo Supermarket, a former 2022 ROTATE Fellow, at YouTube and Wieden + Kennedy, and a 2022 BlackStar Film Festival Philadelphia Filmmaker Directorial Fellow, Simone cross-pollinates her creative versatility; currently applying her multi-disciplinary technical experience to her directorial, mixed-media, and photographical work.
