Art and Super Heroes with artist Kyle Willis

Join us for a night of super powered fun as Kyle Willis, local Artist, demonstrates his painting at CalaVida's annual Wine & Cheese Event on October 11, 2021 as Red's Wine & Craft Beer hosts a select installation of his superhero themed artwork. Kyle will be live painting an original work over comic book pages from start to finish. Attendees are invited to drop in and witness Kyle's process, ask questions and watch as one of his works comes to life. Whether you're a comic enthusiast, an artist, or an art lover, you'll enjoy this event. There will be soft drinks for those who are old enough to paint but not quite old enough to drink. This is a free event and there are limited spaces available so make your reservation now.

Kyle Willis is known for depicting images from pop culture and creating mash-ups that bridge the gap between fan art and fine art. A Florida native, Kyle got his start illustrating portraits in ballpoint pen. Relocating to Jacksonville in 2011 to explore digital media he has been able to explore several new mediums, most recently acrylic paintings over book pages related to his subject matter. Kyle has hosted dozens of pop-up style gallery shows throughout Jacksonville highlighting local artists and, in many cases, raising money for local charities. Kyle's artwork is inspired by music which can be heard as the soundtrack to the time-lapse videos of his work on his YouTube account.
