Art and Science on the River: Carp Workshop

Join us for a fun and infomative workshop at the Mississippi Watershed Management Organization. This workshop will begin with informative presentations from Colleen O’Connor Toberman and Maddie Hayden, local experts on invasive carp in the Mississippi River.

After the presentations, artist Kimberly Boustead will demonstrate carp printing and then participants will have time to try their hand at carp printing, carp-inspired drawing and creative writing.

Walk away from this workshop with art to share and a better understanding of the impacts of invasive carp on river ecosystems and what can be done to manage them.

This workshop is a collaborative effort between the MWMO and Friends of the Mississippi River.
