Alongside Our Story with David Attenborough, we're delighted to welcome Art and Energy to Market Hall for a day of free, hands-on activities exploring one of our most precious resources: water.
🌿 Where does the water from your tap come from?
Through their new project, Our Land Flows... from Peat to Pipe, Art and Energy invite visitors to discover the fascinating journey of water from the peatlands of Dartmoor's high moors to homes across Plymouth. Explore the landscapes, history and engineering that have helped shape our relationship with water, including the historic leats that carried water to the city and powered local mills for centuries.
✨ Free interactive workshops Choose from three sessions:
12pm – 1pm
1pm – 2pm
2pm – 3pm
Get hands-on with: 🔍 Mosses and magnifiers
🎨 Drawing and creative activities
💧 Water experiments and investigations
🗺️ Maps, heritage and local stories
🌿 Nature-based exploration for all ages
The workshops are free to attend, suitable for all ages, and children must be accompanied by an adult.
Information displays and activities will be available from 12pm, making this the perfect addition to a visit to Our Story with David Attenborough.
