Chicago, is an art exhibition exploring memories and experiences of Chicago. Multidisciplinary artist Sheila K Parinas explores memories and experiences with Chicago through paintings and ink drawings.
Through capturing personal memories from growing up in the Chicagoland area, and present-day experiences, Parinas invites viewers to evoke memories of their own relationship with the city.
In addition, guest artists contributed works that create a visual conversation about place, memory, and identity, reflecting Chicago as both a personal and collective experience:
Bailee Poggendorf, BLACKMAU, Brian Ellis, Clara de la Fuente, Coriando Brown, Derrick Holley, Hannah Grace Alewelt, Harvester Baker, Khrystyna Musiy, Knot More Yarn, Lily Robertson, PadgetStudio, Phil Strang, Rachel Lauren Storm, and Ralph Roether 3.
This exhibition welcomes visitors to see Chicago through multiple lenses.
Opening Reception with music by Brian Ellis: September 12 at 6pm.
