Art After Dark: Rise and Shine Feb 2026

A week-long celebration of London’s nightlife through art and music as part of Art After Dark. Running from 3-10 February Lakwena Maciver’s landmark installation Rise and Shine, is set to be a 7-metre tall tower of disco lightboxes in Piccadilly Circus.

The installation is inspired by community and the music and culture of the 80s and 90s, displayed through acid-bright visuals and tracks inspired by the period.

Celebrate Art After Dark with a special one-off after-hours DJ event at The National Gallery on 5 February. Enjoy an exclusive live DJ set inside the Gallery after closing time, offering a rare chance to dance after dark in one of London’s most iconic cultural institutions.
