Join us to commemorate Benedict Arnold's raid and the Revolutionary War in Richmond!The park, along with partners at St. John's Church, Henrico County Parks, and Henrico County Public Library, will host a series of events:
Thursday January 5: Author Mike Cecere on the Revolution in Virginia, 7 pm at the Libby Mill Library, 2100 Libby Mill Library, Libbie Lake East Street, Henrico, VA 23230
Saturday January 7: Living History camps at Chimborazo (9-4) and speaker presentations at St John's Church (1-4). Speaker Schedule:
1 pm: Author Jennifer Epstein-Rudnick “Search for the Signers: Visting the Graves of the Signers of the Declaration of Independence”
2 pm: Dr. Michael Dickinson “Loyalty to Liberty: African Americans in the Revolution”
3 pm: Historian Bill Welsch “Where a Man Can Go- The Revolutionary Battle of Petersburg”
4 pm: Benedict Arnold, portrayed by Marc Holma
Sunday January 8:
-10 am: Battle of Richmond Walking Tour (1.5 miles), meet at Chimborazo Park
-1 pm: Revolutionary Richmond Walking Tour (2 miles), meet at Farm Fresh parking lot, 2320 East Main Street, Richmond, VA 23223
