Join the Norwich University Alumni Club of Washington DC for our annual service day at Arlington National Cemetery, where more than 200 Norwich alumni are interred. Our goal is to visit every grave, keep their memory alive, and honor their service.
Schedule:
10:00 to 10:30 a.m.: Coffee and donuts atop the Welcome Center parking garage. Group assignments will be handed out.
Groups then fan out across the cemetery, each visiting 10 to 20 assigned grave locations.
The day culminates with an official wreath laying at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier. This year, DC Club President Marc Henderson ‘99 and his father, Mark Henderson ‘74, will lay the wreath on behalf of Norwich University and its alumni.
What to expect:
About four hours and two miles of walking on paved paths and grassy terrain.
Dress for the weather and wear comfortable walking shoes
Alumni, family, and friends are all welcome.
