Course priority for residents of Central Arizona communities. Must be at least 18 years of age.
The Arizona FILM READY Crew Production Assistant Certification program is offered to Arizona residents who are seeking active employment within the state's film and digital media industry as a Production Assistant (PA). Upon certification, you will be eligible to list as an available-for-hire PA in the state's Arizona Production Directory. You must attend all days to complete certification.
**TICKETS ARE NON-REFUNDABLE - Seating is limited and in high-demand. Please, don't book if you're not sure that you will be able to attend or if you may have other conflicts.
Hosted in partnership with Glendale Community College and Huntington University, this hands-on production assistant certification program teaches on-set protocols and knowledge, workplace safety, and how to perform common PA tasks including the handling of expensive production equipment often required in this position. Your registration fee covers the cost of instruction and provided materials.
The Arizona FILM READY Crew Production Assistant Certification program uses the curriculum of the Film and Television Production Assistant Intensive created and instructed by Arizona-based veteran line producer, Rochelle Savory.

Since 1965 Glendale Community College (GCC) has welcomed over 500,000 students as they worked towards graduating with two-year degrees, transferring to a university, completing new career training, or finishing an occupational certificate.The GCC Film and Media Production program provides pre-professional training to help students develop their creative and technical skills through immersive courses in all phases of film and television production. Students receive comprehensive instruction in craft, process, and theory behind visual storytelling, with hands-on experience in all major production areas, including writing, producing, cinematography, audio, directing and editing. Students can earn an Associate in Applied Science (AAS) in Film and Media Production, and/or a Certificate of Completion (CCL) in Documentary Film Production. In addition, students can expand their skill sets through GCC’s Digital Media Arts program which offers courses in animation, graphic design, interactivity, and multimedia production. Huntington University Arizona's 30,000-square-foot building in Peoria houses bachelor's degree programs in digital media arts. The comprehensive program offers majors in animation, film production, and graphic design. The three-story structure, along with ample free parking, is located in the West Valley just off the 101 at Bell Road. The facility features 3,000-square-feet of film and studio space along with fully-equipped computer labs, edit suites, classrooms, a Foley pit, and a host of production equipment for students to use free of charge for their coursework, including 4K cameras.
