UWA SMIF and Argonaut are excited to present the return of the Argonaut Stock Pitch Challenge!
Work in teams of 2-5 students to research, analyse and pitch a publicly traded company to a panel of experienced Argonaut analysts. Teams will select a stock from a list of mining, industrial and oil and gas companies (to be revealed during the launch session) and the winning team will receive a cash prize and internship interview with Argonaut’s equity research or investment banking team.

Introductory presentation: Thursday 2nd May, 2-3pm, 105 Ezone
Registrations close: Sunday 5th May, 11:59pm
First round materials sent out: Monday 6th May
First round submission due: Monday 13th May, 11:59pm
First round presentations: Tuesday 14th May, Time TBD
Second round materials sent out: Wednesday 15th May
Second round submission due: Sunday 19th May, 11:59pm
Final round presentations: Monday 20th / Tuesday 21st May, Time TBD
———— THE CHALLENGE——————
- Teams will have 20 minutes to present in-person followed by 10 minutes of questions for the first round of presentations, and 20 minutes to present followed by 10 minutes of questions for the final round. Analysis of the stock should be both qualitative and quantitative and should include a valuation model with a buy, hold or sell recommendation.
- PowerPoint slides are to be sent to [email protected] by 11:59pm on the prior day of each round of presentations.
- Teams will be notified of the order and time of their presentations the day prior. Teams successful in making it through to the final round will be notified and given feedback.

- 1st place: $1,500 and final round interviews at Argonaut
- 2nd place: $1,000
- 3rd place: $500
