Argentine Tango Dance: Beginner Series with Mira Barakat (4 classes)

Wednesdays in February, Mira Barakat teaches beginning tango for everyone! Mira is an experienced, professional dance teacher with a deep knowledge of tango. Students are required to register in advance for all four classes: February 1st, 8th, 15th, and 22nd.

Masks are required.

• 6:45-7:00 check-in
• 7:00-8:00 tango class
• 8:00-10:00 practica

• $80 general admission, 4 classes
• $60 students with ID, 4 classes

This is a queer-friendly event where all genders are welcome to lead and follow. Dance whatever role you like! Role-switching is welcome.

Wear any comfortable clothing. Bring dance shoes or shoes that slide, if you have them.

This class takes place in the ballroom or drawing room of the Berkeley City Club. To enter the building, ring the bell and say “tango.” We are a 10-minute walk from Downtown Berkeley BART. No non-member parking in the Berkeley City Club lot. Full bar available until 9:00 pm.
