In diesem Workshop wird ein Versuch unternommen Berliner Queere und Trans of color Geschichte zwischen den 80er Jahren und heute sichtbar zu machen, die nicht immer archiviert worden ist. Es wird, in einem informellen kitchen table style behandelt werden, wie die Gentrifizierung und Militarisierung von migrantischen Vierteln und die Institutionalisierungen von Bewegungen sich auf das Leben und Organisierung ausgewirkt haben. Wir treffen uns auf der Wiese vor dem Haus und wird leckeres (kostenfreies) Essen geben und es wird ein informeller Informations- & Diskussionsraum sein. Der Workshop findet voraussichtlich auf Deutsch statt, könnte aber auch nach Bedarf ganz auf Englisch stattfinden.

Bio: Newroz ist (nicht zu Ende studierte) Sozialarbeiter_in und seit fast 20 Jahren in verschiedenen sozialen Bewegungen, mit dem Schwerpunkt Queere-und Trans-Migrant_innen-Selbstorganisierung und Antirassismusund aus intersektionaler Perspektive und seit einigen Jahren in verschiedenen künstlerischen Projekten aktiv.

EN: This workshop will be an attempt to tell the stories of queer and trans of color history in Berlin between the 80s and today which have not always been archived. In an informal kitchen table style, it will try to address, how the gentrification and militarization of migrant neighborhoods and the institutionalization of movements have impacted lives and organizing. We will meet on the garden in front of the house and there will be delicious (free) food and it will be an informal information & discussion space. The workshop will probably be held in German, but could also be held entirely in English if required.

Bio: Newroz is a (non-graduate) social worker and has been active for almost 20 years in various social movements, with a focus on queer and trans migrant self-organization and anti-racism and from an intersectional perspective and for several years in various artistic projects.
