Join Archivist Heather Hegefeld in the Suningive House living room for a presentation on discoveries she has made in the Archives, including in the Newsletter collection she recently completed digitizing! Heather leads a lively program (look for Buster Keaton references) in the home of Elizabeth White, snacks and drinks available in the kitchen. This talk is part of our Spring Garden programs and Mark Szutarski is leading a Garden Tour the same day starting at 10 am. Make a day of it with the garden/trail tour, General Store shopping, a stop in Suningive for a house tour and snacks and Heather's presentation. Free program, donations are welcome!
You are always welcome to bring your lunch for a picnic at Whitesbog or we recommend the award-winning pizza place Riccardo's just down the street from Whitesbog (many groups eat there after a visit).
For Suningive House newbies, when you enter the Village and face the General Store, turn right past the mailboxes and Suningive is the second house on the right, sign out front. The road can be bumpy, you can park in the main parking lot and walk down or there is a circle drive at Suningive to drop someone off or for a few vehicles to park to the right side. Please don't block the drive.
Suningive was designed by Elizabeth White to have office on the first floor (now exhibits you can can enjoy) and living spaces on the second floor. There are a few steps to get into the house and a staircase to get to the second floor.
