Archbishop Checchio will be celebrating the 11 a.m. Mass at St. Louis Cathedral and will bless the images of the Sacred Heart.
At all Masses across the Archdiocese on June 13-14, blessed images of the Sacred Heart will be distributed to households. Families are invited to take their image home and enthrone the Sacred Heart in a place of honor, dedicating their homes to the love and mercy of Christ. Instructions, prayers for the enthronement, and a recommended novena are available at nolacatholic.org/sacredheart.
This celebration is part of the Archdiocesan Consecration to the Sacred Heart of Jesus and is tied to the semiquincentennial anniversary of the founding of our country.
Sacred Heart of Jesus, have mercy on us and on the whole world.
