Begin your Advent season with Archangel Cantata, an original work by local musician and stained glass artist, Christie Wood, presented by the FUMC Denton Chancel Choir and Bells Angels Handbell Choir.This moving service of evening prayer tells the story of the Incarnation through the eyes and voices of the archangels Michael and Gabriel. Blending scripture, choral music, and handbells, Archangel Cantata invites us to reflect on the mystery and wonder of God’s arrival among us.
Join us for an evening of beauty, creativity, and sacred storytelling as we welcome the Advent season together.
This concert is free and open to all.
WHEN: Sunday, November 30 at 6:30pm
WHERE: First United Methodist Church of Denton, 201 S Locust St., Denton, TX 76201, in the sanctuary that is located on the corner of Mulberry & Locust streets on the 2nd & 3rd floors.
ENTRY: Please enter through the Mulberry street tunnel doors at the intersection of Austin Street + Mulberry Street (elevator access available).
PARKING: FUMC Denton offers parking behind the church, accessible from Mulberry Street, and in a smaller lot on Sycamore Street. Accessible parking spaces are available in both parking lots and along Mulberry Street.
