Hey, you guysssssss! Join Baby Thanos (Josh Brolin), Sam of the Shire (Sean Astin), Short-Round (Ke Huy Quan), Corey the Lost Boy (Corey Feldman), and Beautiful Girl (Martha Plimpton) on a cursed pirate adventure in 1985's "The Goonies," a cinematic treasure trove of '80s kid adventuretime. (This time without the rain!)
Directed by Richard Donner and produced by Steven Spielberg, the movie follows their group of misfits who live in the "Goon Docks" neighborhood of Astoria, Oregon, and stumble upon an old pirate map leading to the treasure of legendary 17th-century pirate One-Eyed Willy.
The Goonies dive headlong into booby traps, hidden caves, and a family of criminals hot on their trail. The gang includes the inventive and steadfast Mikey (Sean Astin), the ever-resourceful Data (Ke Huy Quan), the talkative Mouth (Corey Feldman), and the brave leader Brand (Josh Brolin). Together, they discover the value of friendship and bravery.
Spielberg's influence is evident through the storytelling and thrilling sequences, while the film's fun cameos include Cyndi Lauper, who performs the theme song "The Goonies 'R' Good Enough."
