Arcade Jam by City of Las Vegas Strong Future

Calling all future game developers, coders, artists, and creative kids!

This summer, students ages 8–17 will have the exciting opportunity to design and build their very own playable video game for a Nintendo GameBoy! From characters and levels to coding and gameplay, participants will learn real game development skills in a fun, hands-on environment.

No experience? No problem! Beginners are welcome.

Throughout this multi-week program, students will work step-by-step to create a complete game while learning:

• 🎨 Pixel art & character design
• 💻 Beginner-friendly coding concepts
• 🕹️ Game mechanics & level building
• 🧠 Problem-solving & creativity
• 🤝 Teamwork and collaboration

And the best part?
Every student who completes the program will receive a FREE GameBoy to play their finished game!

🍕 Lunch will be provided each class day.
💯 This program is completely FREE.

🕐 Time: 1:00 PM – 4:00 PM

Participants must be able to attend ALL class dates and times. Each class builds on the previous session, and students will continuously develop their games throughout the program.
