Groundwork Richmond in partnership with the City of Richmond will be hosting the annual Arbor Day event at JFK Park this year. We will plant over 40 trees to increase the tree canopy in Richmond. Currently Richmond only has a 13% tree canopy coverage, which is half of what is recommended for a healthy city. The City of Richmond's goal is to get to 30% tree canopy by 2030.
This is a celebration and all ages and ability levels are encouraged to come. We will have food, music, and activities for children! You don't want to miss this! Let us know you are coming by signing up!
