AR Womens Veterans Summit 2021- In Person

Military Women Veterans Summit.  Everything you need in one place!  Presentations by the Department of Veterans Affairs for both benefits and healthcare, Financial Wellness seminars presented by Prudential, "Women and Money" & "Securing Your Financial Future", one-on-one claims clinic and more! The Arkansas Women Veterans Summit has your six!

The 2021 Arkansas Women Veterans Summit is scheduled for June 11th and 12th at the Little Rock Holiday Inn Airport-Convention Center located at 3201Bankhead Drive, Little Rock AR 72206.

Our guest speaker is Major General (retired) & author Mari Eder. Mari's latest book, The Girls Who Stepped Out of Line, will be released on August 3rd. The Girls Who Stepped Out of Line takes you inside the lives and experiences of 15 unknown women heroes from the Greatest Generation, the women who served, fought, struggled, and made things happen during WWII—in and out of uniform, for theirs is a legacy destined to embolden generations of women to come.

Major General Eder served over 36 years in the Army, inclusive of both Active and Army Reserve service. MG Eder commanded at the company, battalion, brigade and division level. Her previous assignments include the United States Army's Deputy Chief of Public Affairs, commander of the 6th Brigade (Professional Development), 80th Division (Institutional Training) while concurrently serving on active duty as the Chief of Staff with the Reserve Forces Policy Board (RFPB) in the Office of the Secretary of Defense. MG Eder had additional joint experience, serving with the United States European Command in Stuttgart, Germany where she was assigned as the Deputy Director of Public Affairs. There she directed theater media relations during NATO operations in Kosovo and at the inception of Operation Enduring Freedom in Afghanistan.

This event is for Women Veterans of the U.S. Armed Forces (active duty, guard, reserves, and prior service).

Registration is required as there is limited seating. The first 110 registered women veterans will be able to participate in the in-person summit.

The event kicks off Friday, June 11th, with a social at 7 p.m.

Summit check-in, for registered attendees, is from 8:00 - 8:45 a.m., Saturday, June 12th.

The Summit will feature VA Healthcare Women specific program information, financial wellness workshops, Q&A panels and a one-on-one claims clinic.
