Northern Nevada Adventure Racing Association is having its first full-fledged AR training race on Saturday, June 14, 2025.
We had to change the date from the 7th to the 14th as not to conflict with another local event that would be utilizing the same area as the trekking/trail running area.
Due to logistical and permitting issues, there may not be any paddling. We're hopeful to continue as planned. If so, then the following information is pertinent: There aren't any local companies that I would recommend for renting paddling equipment so please ensure you're able to provide your own packraft/river kayak. There is at least one portage area on the Truckee River. The water level should be excellent for all skill levels by June.
We're excited to host the first-ever race here in Reno, NV. We do need several volunteers for start, finish, and TA's in order for this event to be successful.
As we get closer, we'll provide updates to what to expect.
The required gear will be the same as the Bend Racing's mandatory gear for mountain biking and paddling. We recommend that people use their own judgment when transitioning from biking to trekking and back. We only ask that participants bring gaters.
This event will be 12 hours with paddling; 8 to 12 hours without.
