Aquarium Career Exploration Day (Girl Scouts of the Nation's Capital)

Cadette, Senior and Ambassador Girl Scouts of the Nation’s Capital, join us to learn about paths to animal care and conservation careers.
About this Event

Are you interested in a career in animal care or marine conservation? If so, this is your chance to hear from those already in these fields during our Aquarium Career Exploration Day. The National Aquarium is more than a fun place for guests to visit.

As an organization, we are committed to protecting and restoring natural resources through education, community engagement, animal rescue work and sustainable business practices.

During this event, Girl Scouts will speak with a panel of National Aquarium staff and learn about the various departments that make up our amazing team. They’ll also have a chance to explore some of the behind-the-scenes spaces where our staff work.

All participants will receive a National Aquarium patch.

Because of limited parking and lobby seating, we strongly encourage a ratio of one chaperone for every five Girl Scouts or, when possible, dropping children off for the program.

• Ages: 11-18 (Cadette, Senior and Ambassador level Girl Scouts)
• Cost: $18 per Girl Scout
• Minimum/Maximum Participation: 12/28
