APROPOS is H2O's storytelling salon?a space where strangers become companions through the simple act of sharing stories.
Held in English, APROPOS welcomes Copenhagen's international community alongside Danish participants, creating a shared space where diverse experiences, cultures, and perspectives meet through storytelling.
The evening begins around a shared table. Your ticket includes a light meal, creating time to meet, eat, and settle into a community before the storytelling begins.
After dinner, we gather in the salon to explore the art of storytelling together. Through conversation, prompts, and reflection, we discover how stories shape our identities, connect us across differences, and allow us to see the world through one another's eyes.
Each edition of APROPOS opens with a prominent guest storyteller who shares a personal story inspired by the evening's theme. Their story serves not as the final word, but as the beginning of a collective journey.
As the evening unfolds, the floor opens to everyone. Audience members are invited to contribute their own stories, memories, and reflections, creating an event that could never happen twice. Some speak, some listen?but everyone becomes part of the shared experience.
Inspired by the ancient tradition of oral storytelling, APROPOS is built on the belief that storytelling belongs to all of us. You don't have to be a writer, an artist, or an experienced speaker. You only need a willingness to listen, to share, and to be present.
Stories shared during the evening don't necessarily end when the salon closes. With each storyteller's permission, selected stories may become part of the APROPOS Podcast, our monthly series that preserves and shares voices from the community, allowing these moments of connection to reach listeners beyond the walls of H2O.
