APRIL MEMBERSHIP MEETINGBruce Cates, Program Chair
Join us for the next South Bend-Elkhart Bird Alliance membership meeting on Sunday, April 12th at 2:00 p.m. inside the nature center at Rum Village Park in South Bend. Our speaker will be Janet (Jan) McGowan, from the St. Joseph County Parks system. She is a Master Naturalist. Her program will be all about hummingbirds, which will be migrating north into our area near the end of April or early May. Jan is always an energetic presenter, so bring a friend or family member, meet new people, and enjoy some hot refreshments and delicious treats as you learn about these colorful marvels of flight. During our February meeting at Rum Village, members got to see five different kinds of woodpeckers visit the center’s feeders, including both a Pileated Woodpecker and a Red-headed Woodpecker. Our meetings are free and open to the public. Hope to see you there!
